Couples Counseling

Do you feel like your relationship is at a standstill? Are you and your partner stuck in the same argument loop every night? Do you feel like you and your partner are drifting away? Do you desire more intimacy between you and your partner?

All things can be improved, changed, and bettered, with just a little support, no matter how big or small. With couples therapy, you'll learn how to communicate your feelings and needs, and get what you want out of your relationship.

Some issues that bring couples to therapy are:

  • Balance (Work/Life/Family)
  • Blended Families
  • Chronic Illness
  • Divorce
  • Extended Family
  • Infidelity/Cheating
  • Intimacy
  • Mental Illness
  • Pre-Marital/Readiness

Training

My approach to couples work draws from several evidence-based methods, tailored to what your relationship actually needs:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — helps identify the negative cycle driving conflict and works at the level of attachment and emotion, so both partners feel truly reachable again
  • The Gottman Method (Levels 1 & 2) — research-backed tools for communication, conflict management, and rebuilding friendship
  • PACT (Level 2, Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy) — works with the nervous system as much as the conversation, helping partners understand and shift real-time reactions to each other
  • EMDR — when individual trauma is quietly shaping how one or both partners show up in the relationship, processing that history can remove a weight neither partner realized was there

In my couples therapy sessions, I help people develop the skills needed to maintain sustaining love.

I offer couples counseling entirely via telehealth, for partners throughout Colorado — including Denver, Boulder, and Statewide. Meeting online means no commute, more flexibility, and access to a therapist trained in the specific approaches your relationship needs, wherever you are.

If any of the above relates to you and your partner, contact me today for a free consultation. I'd love to talk about how I can help you reconnect and rekindle your relationship.
